Hey hey, haven't been on the forums for a bit, but here is the deal Yellow Beard:

I have that new system I was building a while back, and I am finally satisfied that all the parts have passed the time / real world stress test. Now, its time to up the settings. I know, according to what I have heard, that the ram I have will run at 4-4-4-12 2T settings, but whenever I set the ram to these speeds my system will not boot windows. Just gets a black screen then nothing.

Now, I am by FAR no expert in clocking things past default, but its time to try and figure it out. I posted the problem here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=130375&page=52) in the MoBo thread, and decided to make a post here as well.

Any help would be awsome, thanks!

With the 680i you will need to increase Northbridge and FSB Termination voltage to allow you to run 4x1 gb.

The timings should be 4-4-4-12 @ 800 mhz.

Well, I am testing the ram right now, got it working at 4-4-4-12 2T @2.1v

Not sure if this is good or not, but so far no problems. I am trying to remember WHICH ram torture test everyone uses here to test the ram stability...once I can remember, I will snag it and test the ram to its fullest.

Thanks for the help!

Don't make your computer angry.....you won't like it when it's angry.

JK, how is the testing coming along?

Will this settings work good with the 680I and a Q6600?
Sli ready: Disabled
Memory Voltage: 2.0v
TCL: 4
TRCD: 4
TRP: 4
TRAS: 12
Command Per Clock: 2
TRC: 24
Also what in the IC for this memory?
Part Number = CM2X1024-6400C4D
Version Number = 2.2
Lot Number = 0645285.5
XMS Number = XMS6404

These modules were not listed in the IC list.
Thank you.

Those settings should work except for the memory voltage. If it is not stable at 2.0, set it to the (tested) voltage, 2.1v.

Also, a rev 2.2 is almost certainly Promos. However, I cannot access that information. Please post in that thread and RAM GUY will update it with your part # and ICs.
