Just got a T-Bred 2200+. I'm stuck at 2.1Ghz @ 1.9V. I have 512Mb of Samsung PC2700. All the Samsung is able to do is 175Mhz stable @ CAS2, 2-5-2, 2T, 4-way @ 3.0V. What's your secret? I'm using a Vapochill- evap. temp is kinda high, -01C at idle.

I was hoping to get at least 2.2Ghz out of this chip. I can POST at this speed, but not boot in to WindowsXP.

Edit: nevermind I saw it in ur other thread in the AMD forum...I'll let the pro's answer this question as I have no Tbred experience to date ;)

Empt:)

Welcome to Xtreme forums my fellow AMDMB forum friend:)
Nice to have you here.

Is your Samsung the original single sided stuff, and is it 2 sticks or one of 512mb?? If it's 2..try removing one stick...and making sure the remaining stick is in DIMM slot 1. I have found with my stick that it takes 3.22v to run 200Mhz+ with maxed out timings with my single sided stick. The Samsung is funny stuff...I had to"burn it in" for awhile before it came alive and started clocking.

If you have 1 512mb stick...I honestly don't know how well that stuff clocks..especially if its double sided. Maybe one of our guru's here can enlighten us further:)

Thanks Mr. Icee. It's the newer single sided, 256Mb X2. It's burned-in. I have not tried only running one stick yet, that would suck if that would be what it takes. Also, I have not gone above 3.1V on the vmem yet.

Emtp563 welcome to Xtreme!!:toast:

My secret ?? I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you :D
Just Kidding, I think it was do to my Xtreme cooling. My chip was kicking it around -10 most of the time and barelly saw above Zero.
Your -01 at Idle is about 15c hotter then mine was. I think that was all there was to it. The XP2200 has plenty power if it gets cold enough I believe.
