So, I've finally started building. My digital camera just wandered home late yesterday night, so the pictures are partially into the project. Then again, I only missed one thing of any interest before the camera was available.
If there's anything wrong with the way I'm doing this worklog, please tell me, I'll fix it.

My old DiabloTek Demon IV; a forty dollar case that came with a 450W PSU. That power supply claimed the life of my old Dell computer...

Screw you Gigabyte. That's a 7600GS passive cooled edition; Gigabyte used non-standard mounting holes, meaning my MCW60 won't fit. Buying an X1950Pro later today to replace that.

MCW60; I'm sure you've all seen that.

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Rev 3.3; I removed all the heatsinks already.
Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB DDR2 1066 and my Western Digital 80GB.
MCW30 chipset; again, sure you've seen those before.

Zip ties to tether the radiator into my case; the MCW60 is sitting there to give you an idea of scale.

Thermochill PA120.3 with D12SM-12's. Screwed them in using a total of twelve 1 1/4" screws, obviously, no shroud involved.

A picture with the barbs. I washed the radiator out with just shy of boiling distilled water, two rinses. Water was almost completely clean on the first rinses, it didn't need much. The barbs are 3/8" brass fittings, with some Teflon tape so nothing leaks. Dad had them lying around; I just took them and cleaned them up to use on the radiator.

We unpacked some boxes at work, and I took home the packing foam. Going to add two strips on either side so the radiator is nicely settled in there. They'll be secured with rolled-over duct tape.

Back of the case. Two Yate 80's in the bottom, one D12SM-12 in the middle area, just secured the same way the original CM fan was. I have some fan grills to add to the 80's later. Those are mainly there to cool the pump which will sit right in front of them.

Wiring, taped to the back of the mobo tray is a Logisys CCFL controller, and the fans from the rear of the case. You can see past it to a mess of other wires; that's from my power supply, it's non-modular. Those will be neatened up, as of now they're already moved up top and out the side.

This is the only thing I should have gotten but didn't. That's a piece of foam from work again, sitting next to the power supply. It's a 650W Olympia from Silverstone; so the foam shouldn't get burnt or anything because it's next to the fan. The interesting part is that I took some thin one-side-sticky foam from an air conditioner, and placed it along the bottom pieces of the PSU cage. It made inserting the PSU difficult, and screwing it into the backplate was nearly impossible. However, it means there is now some thin foam there, so it should knock down on vibrations.

D-Tek Fuzion; I'm sure you've seen that before too. 3/8" D-Tek barbs.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/darth_sauron/100_2287.jpg
A small assortment of goodies. Primochill Liquid Utopia UV blue, DD red fillport (when I bought that, I thought I was using red and 7/16"), some thumbscrews (turns out CM gave me enough), some brass fittings, a plastic T-line, and AS5 12-gram tube.

Case window! w00t.
That's all for now; the loop is going together tonight.
