Ok I just opened up my block to find this !!!! I think the aluminum coating has came off in some spots

Is my block still safe to use and if not what can I do. I have been running pure distiled water , I did add a 2 few drops of iodine for about a week then I drained my loop.

Swiftech just uses a black dye on the entire top, so what you're seeing is the dye coming off. Nothing to worry about.

According to Swiftech, what you're seeing is just the dye that they put on the block's surface getting worn off. The block's nickel and zinc cobalt plating(s) should be unaffected.
