O.K., this seems like the right forum for this. Yesterday, I found and bought a Compaq PSU for the Proliant 4500's & 5000's. It's still in brand new condition, and I only paid $10 for it. :D Now this beast is a redundant rackmount PSU, physically a little bigger than 4 normal PSU's sitting next to each other. I haven't been able to find much info at all, since it's somewhat obsolete. The few places that had ANY info listed it's value between $155 (out of stock) and $3222. Any kinda info/input would be appreciated, thanx. BTW, my original plan was to mod it for overclocking duties, but that might not be too easy, and it looks like the smart thing to do might be to re-sell it for a nice profit. Almost forgot, the Compaq part # is 165627-001 :)

I'd sell it if you can, then get a real nice pc power and cooling.

Good call, but I already have a Turbo-Cool 425. ;) If it turns out to be worth anything much, I'm thinking Opteron or Athlon 64. :D

You can get used ones all day for what you paid for it. They have almost no use other then as a replacement for that model. I just thru 4 similiar ones away off cannablized old server cases.

Cheers

Tex, that's kinda what I thought, about it being proprietary. Thanx for your input about the value. :) Still, the voltages look pretty decent, 3.4v@18A, +5v@75A, and +12v@12A. Any chance of tracking down a wiring diagram, to attempt to hook up an ATX connector? Or do you know if there's such a thing as an adapter? Thanx again. :) It can't be a total loss, either way. The 2x 92mm Panaflo fans & 2x 92mm Papst fans are worth $10, plus I'm slightly more educated. :D ;)
