Has anyone received a Newegg 2200+ within the last couple of days and noticed the stepping codes?

just got mine from NewEgg today (7/2/02). It's an AIRGA, week 24 (3 weeks ago!)

Check it out:

2200+, AIRGA week 24. This puppy was made only three weeks ago. All I'm able to muster with the Vapochill so far is 2.1Ghz. I'm going to try some more tweaking. Unlocking was extremely easy, only connected one L3 bridge and didn't even have to fill in the pit:

Here are a couple of screenies:

I'm using an Abit KX7333-R, bios 7K.

Well, mine arrives this a.m. from newegg. I guess it will be an AIRGA. I'll post back when it arrives -- unless I forget in the excitement.

There's no excitement about it. These overclock like :banana::banana::banana:, unless you have some hard-core vapor-phase cooling like Oppainter or Mr. Icee. Even the Vapochill won't cool these bad-boys to the extreme.

Actually, with an SLK-800 they do quite well, though obvisouly not as well as with better cooling.

ekierce over on [H] had his down to the same temperature as his case with an SLK-800, which I thought was not bad ;).

I forgot to post back. Mine's an AIRGA, week 24. Pretty easy overclock to 2011 (13.5 X 149) at 1.85V. Runs cool too, even under full load. Running 40ºC. right now in a 73º F. room with genome running in the background.

I'm using a QPower case.

Nice overclock, is the chip maxed out with the QP or does it have more you think??

I get an easy 2002 mhz with just an slk-800 and 68cfm delta fan, 1.75 volts, very stable (haven't tried more yet) so with better cooling, I would think there is lots more room. This seems to be the best stepping so far. At least 100mhz better than the AIRDA week 23.

My new T-bred from Newegg just arrived today: AIRGA week 24. I'm encouraged by the posts in this thread - I'll be cooling with an SLK800 also. My concern is my Abit AT7, which I suspect will have the now well-known boot problem, even with the latest 8V bios. I'm going to give it a try locked first, and then try closing the furthest-right L3 as you good folks have tested it here. I'll post all my results by the weekend.

It may not even post locked. It didn't on the KX7, so don't be dicouraged if it doesn't, just connect bridge 5 on the L3 and it should be fine.

Dood, a 2.1ghz Athlon is still a fast-ass CPU. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would outperform a P4 @ 3ghz, especially when we get Bartons running at 2+ Ghz.

I'll be hunting me down a XP2200 chip later in the week. I'll be testing several until I find the Ultimate stable 2400-2600 Mhz T-bred:D
Can't wait to do some AMD overclocking, these Intel setups get old, I guess its because they don't get better with age unlike AMD. I guess it also has to do with the fact that you can't play with the Multipliers on Intel and limits your Experiments.

Newegg has been shipping AIRGA's week 24, so you would probably get one of those or maybe even later from them and they are pretty cool on RMA's if you want to keep trying.
