Just read this off the front page of xbox.com


If a customer has an issue indicated by the three flashing red lights, Microsoft will repair the console free of charge—including shipping—for three years from the console’s purchase date. We will also retroactively reimburse any of you who paid for repairs related to problems indicated by this error message in the past.

Great news for any 360 owner. It's good to see Microsoft finally "acknowledging" and trying to fix the issue.

now be aware, as it says, its only for the red ring if death.

which is GREAT because aside form the random failed dvd drive (which is 99% of the time caused by people who flash the modded firmware and then later on the firmware goes wacky) the red ring of death is about the only thing that goes wrong with them.

this is FANTASTIC!! and its about time MS stepped up and took accountability for the failures.
