My System:

Windows Xp SP2
Asus P5B-D Wifi Bios 1011
Core2Duo E6300
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Revision 2 Dual Channel ( 2x 1GB )

Allright this is what happens.

Whenever i cut power to the PSU then i restart my system i experiance a "cold boot" where my system tries to boot then just hangs ( no screen signal ).
I tried performing C.P.R and sometimes it gets to first or second post screen then hangs or freezes...

This only happens when i cut the PSU power and turn it on back again.

I suspected the problem was memory related so i removed one memory module from the second memory slot and lo and behold the system boots flawless with 1 module still on.

I then switched off the system from windows and plugged the 2nd memory module back in and restarted with no issues.

When i turn the PSU off and back on again i noticed that sometimes the pc does several cold boots ( just like a car engine trying to start on a cold winter morning ) then finally boots with no post....

This happens when the bios settings are set at default and also when overclocked @ 2.3V .

Why is this happening ?
