Hello! its been a while since I got my current system, more or less since November, so I don't know whats new in the market. I would love if you could help me by advising what hardware to get to upgrade my PC. Im in need of faster Video Rendering since I work editing video.

This is what I have

Intel 975XBX Bad Axe Mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 675 (PC2 5400)
SAPPHIRE 100146L Radeon X1600XT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 CrossFire Supported Video Card

1st: Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM SATA150 Hard
2nd: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
3rd: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 280GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s

Thanks

How about this:
- Q6600 (price will drop to about $260 this month).
- 4 x 1G DDR2 800 (choose brand that you like)
- and.. 8800 GTS at least would be a better choice i think

Hi thanks for replying. Is the Q6600 compatible with the Intel Bad Axe 1 Mobo?

thanks again

oh yeah sorry didn't see that, i'd get 4gigs of ram and a quad core for video editing.. maybe a 8800GTS 320 for the occasional gaming since it's so cheap now.
