Yep, got some on order already.

I announced this 2 weeks ago. ooops....

The should rock. Also they are the first personal computers to support 64bit OS and run 32Bit applications seamlessly.

No code morph, no zero extend.

Only mistake I made was calling the 64Bit OS "leopard" when it will be called "Panther"

They're quoted as beating intel here too.

if you go over AT forums, you'll see that G5 is being bashed like crazy for their benching methods....

and i tell ya, what sort of people disable HT on p4's on benchmarks? argh...

i thought HT would make no affetc on benchmarks, well not things like 3dmurk, like SMP wouldnt make a difference for this .

Well, Jobs has just learned to be as deceptive as Intel, Microsoft, etc...

On another note, i wont think any higher of the 'g5' until it comes out and gets a benchmark of something practical i actually use.

im with sick, i really cant stand the macs...propreitary software on a unix based operating system that doesnt give you complete unix functionality, plus its not open source and its using a using base  , and its proprietary hardware. etc...i could go on. yee ha, the case is good looking and its a nice gui. well there are better looking cases in my opinion and if you are using linux there are thousands of those mac themes and a bunch of smooth scrolling things to...not sure about windows, but id venture to say you oculd make it look like a mac

thumbs down for the macs from me

hmm, if i ever have enough money for a laptop, it'll be a powerbook.

then again, if i had enough money for a gaming system and a 2nd PC for everything else, i'd consider running a mac.

Why won't they make macs good for current games? And why can't u install 9800 pro or fx5900? Think about how much money they can make if this was possible. No wonder mac is an outcast.

IMO the new G5's rock when it comes to gaming !

Man where have you guys been, the new G5's come with Nivdia FX and R9600pro's and you can get just about any highend graphics cards for them. Also they use standard DDR memory, ATA Drives, Monitors are abundant, USB Keyboards, Mice, etc.....

I've owned several macs and love them, just a little rich for my blood (not to mention cant tinker with them much !)

I think pretty much every recent release is available for the Max OS

I would still not label the Mac as a full service gaming rig.

I beleive that is a list of Mac OS9 games checking for compatiblity with Os X. Since the release of OSX there has been an avalanche of new games written specificly for OSX.
