Akasa Eclipse 62 Side Panel with Fan

Has anyone used the optional side panel that can be bought seperately for the Akasa Eclipse, which features a 120mm fan? I am wondering if anyone knows whether it would help reduce temperatures by any worthwhile amount, I would assume it may help reduce the northbridge temperature.
Also can the fan be easily replaced by a faster spinning fan?

Side vent is a good idea but not sure it's worth £20. Having said that this is the man with two of those cases and paid for the windowed side panels lol. It might be worth you cutting a hole and attaching a fan yourself.
