Damn, I know better but tonight I took a perfectly good system and flashed the bios on my old Asus A7V. Thinking I was invincible I used the windows-based utility to update the bios.
Guess what? I rebooted and got no post!!! $hit, $hit!
To make a long story short, I removed my burner, cdrom and HD to access the CLRCMOS solder points and cleared the CMOS.
Up and running again with the new bios and absolutely no difference in system performance! :rolleyes:
Moral of the story, if it ain't broke, don’t fix it... then again I do want to get an Abit KX7-333. ;)
