Anyone know how to mount my heatercore and also attach fans to it? The fins on my heatercore are really small so I can't push through them.
Heres a pic of what i've got so far, I know its nothing and drab but yea.

The heatercore is on top of the case, I'm not sure how to mount it.

Heres a closer shot of the heatercore. As u can c i'm using like some kinda wooden thingy to lift the fan up to get rid of the dead spot. And theres also one under the rad to lift it up.

This is how I have it, but I'm using a custom Weapon shroud:

You could try and make your own shroud. Tupperware can work.

Or you could use something like this:

PrimoChill HE-Core 240 Shroud- UV Blue (http://www.moddersmart.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=29796)

Make it out of some sheet metal. Or just get a plastic bowl, cut the holes and tape it to it..... Thats the cheap and easy though. But to make it look nice buy some sheet metal, and maybe a clamp or two and clamp it to a straight edge and bend it to fit the heater core.

I've used both my own home made shroud as well as the Weapon shrouds.............:D The Weapon shrouds are much nicer and easire to install, but they cost money. Home made shrouds are free for the most part, all they cast is time spent making them.

Dangerden sells a acrylic shroud for the heater cores.

Personally I would remove all but 2 of those wood things on the back of your radiator since all they are doing is blocking airflow.

I would buy this shroud but it requires for the fans to b under the heatercore and i want it in a pull configuration, other than that it looks nice.

I'm kinda confused how are those bolts that go through the top of the case attached to the heatercore? Are they the same ones that go through the fans?

Jeezus i hope ur just sanding down the edges cuz thats the cleanest most accurate job i've ever seen done by hand.

I'm guessing you poked those screws through the heatercore and then used some kinda huge washers to keep them attached?

I was going to do just that :) but i took it off cuz i made that shoe box thing, ugly but it works better imo.

Heres the system in action :D

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm pretty sure you can set it in a pull config.

o i think i c what u mean so drill some 2x120mm holes in the top of the case, then bolt them to the shroud and lift the heater core up, then just pull instead of pulling the air up pull the air down from the heatercore?
I want it to be like this but i'm not sure what kinda screws hes using

ya.. cables everywhere, next time i take the stuff out of my case, i'm gonna have to drill a couple 1inch holes in the backing so i can hide that crap

Exactly. That's how I have it. Not only the heatercore gets fresh air from outside, it also gives the inside of my case some extra airflow.

i think i'ma just buy some aluminum sheet metal and do it myself :D lol

my systems current load temp at 25C ambient is 42C with just one fan cooling the rad :D
