I want to upgrade the monitor to 24"
so. is a single 2900 XT card can handle 1920 x 1200 res. in games .:shrug: :shrug:

It'll be fine in most games. You might dip below 30 in a few games (Stalker, R6 maybe, Oblivion), but drivers may improve performance there over time. Here's the AT review http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2988&p=19 to get an idea of the FPS you'll see.
It will be fine for now, but you will probably struggle with the games released in the remainder of the year.

It should work. but to make sure I would sell it and try to get the 2900XT 1gb.
I have used my XT to play oblivion on a Benq 24" there were times when FPS dipped below 30 particularly when in forest or woodland areas. Have not used the GTS on the 24" as yes so can not give a direct comparison.

Go crossfire, that way you'll sure to get a decent amount of FPS all the time.
Well, sounds like i have to get another card , maybe 2900 XT 1GB :shocked:
but first i will trade my 2900 XT 512MB :D :D
