I'm running at 3.6. Unlinked..Ram is 533.3mhz and 3-4. The system is stable, not a glitch, but I may lower it down to 3.4. Still I really don't get the concept of how to set it for 1-1. My timings are 5-5-5-18 2T. ANy help is appreciated!

Its when the FSB and Memory speed are the same. ie if you are running your ram at 533 mhz then you need to set your fsb to 533.

Hi..My ram is at 1067.

i run 800 1t with fsb at 1600-(quad "pumped") and i'm at 1:1 (400x9)

if your ram is at 1067...then 533x4 = 2132 fsb

you'll never reach 533 fsb with that 680i board.

so to run 1:1 with yours you need to lower ram speed...which would allow you to run tighter timings....and 680i allows 1T command rate.

i get 6600 mb/s sandra. with 800 1T

depends what speed you have your 6600 running at, and the fsb limitations of your particular 680i and cooling.

i've not had much luck setting fsb higher than 450 on 680i mobo. eg. 450x8 = 3.6 GHz, 400x8 = 3.2GHz

you could try 450 x 8 (900 1T) your ram may do that with the right volts. you just have to muck around with voltage tweaks to find out.

i would say something between 400 and 450 fsb should work.

Well I dropped to 3.48, mostly cause I want things a bit cooler. Ram is at 533.? I ran SSandra bandwidth at the 1067, and got 7600+. THink the ratio is 8-11. I dropped to 800, 1-1 and the bandwidth dropped to 6400. I know this is synthetic, so i'll try a realworld but the 1200 is a big difference. What benefits would 1-1 at a lower bandwidth have over an 8-11 ratio with apparent higher bandwidth? Or is there? Some people seem to think so, that's what i don't understand...
