The 100-400 is awesome. It rarely leaves my camera these days.

Nice pictures :). That doesn't look like the average aircraft to me... looks like something the military use.

The pictures look good! Are you using any type of editing program to finish them off? And what type of format are you shooting with, IE: RAW, Tiff, JPG, etc?

Its a B1 bomber and it is a POS! It is the only swept wing bomber. My brother in law has pics of one refueling in flight. He's the boom operator. It would be cool to get a hdr pic of a bird. To bad thay don't really sit still for to long. Can you set up your cam to shoot 5 pics in a row with different exposure's in less than a few seconds?

RAW then convert to JPG...and I use adobe lightroom... but I don't sharpen the images at all...:)

Thats the same way I shoot, I love the RAW format. I was using Nikon Capture for the longest time, until I discovered Adobe Lightroom; I was impressed.

I know what you mean about the screaming. I just spent 1800 bucks at B&H for a 30D with 17-85mm kit lens and a few other goodies. Considering I'm a total n00b right now, it's hard to convince the wifey that I need to spend another grand on a 70-200mm F/4L IS. I was met with blank stares while trying to plead my case. "But baby, the 'L' stands for 'LUXURY'!!" :P
