Running on an Intel BadAxe2 with B1 ES E6600.

Sub timings not setable by BX2 BIOS. I haven't tried tightening them within Windows as yet.

GeIL Ultra PC5300 CAS 3-4-4-8 (2.1-2.4v)

390Mhz 3-4-3-4 2.4V

432Mhz 4-4-4-4 2.32V Stable up to 425Mhz booting to windows but for 432Mhz I had to loosen tRD and tRFC using Memset within windows to run stable. This was the max overclock for this kit.

GeIL Ultra PC6400 4-4-4-12 (2.1-2.3v)

475Mhz 4-5-4-13 2.2V Max CAS4 overclock

507Mhz 5-5-5-15 2.2V Max overclock.

http://www.geilunleashed.com/media/review/310507/GeIL_Ultra_DDR800_CAS4_@5-5-5-15_507Mhz_Prime95_2,2vdimm.png

GeIL Ultra Plus PC6400 3-3-3-8 (2.1-2.4v)

447Mhz 3-4-3-4 2.4V Best CAS3 clocks I've had.

http://www.geilunleashed.com/media/review/310507/GeIL_Ultra_Plus_DDR800_CAS3_@3-4-3-4_prime95_447Mhz_2,4vdimm.png

507Mhz 4-4-4-4 2.12V This was the max overclock with these sticks. I was dissapointed, not that DDR1014 4-4-4-4 2.12v is bad, but I was expecting 550-600Mhz from this kit. Not sure if it's due to the tighter SPD timings or just the limit of the ICs used.

Take two on the ASUS P5N-E SLI.

Funny thing is with this board is that it seems to need more vcore to push the RAM further which kind of led to overheating of the CPU. I started with the GeIL Ultra PC6400 CAS4-4-4-12 but didn't get around to retesting them with more vcore.

Also, I'm pretty sure with the BIOS I'm using the vdimm of 2.085v is overvolting. I was hitting as high or higher at 2.085vdimm than I was on the BadAxe2 at 2.4vdimm. Also, it seems that adding more RAM voltage wouldn't give higher clocks. The onboard monitoring for vdimm on this board is missing and I really should dig out the multimeter but with the other problems I'm just ready to move on.

It's a decent board, it works well but just isn't great for really pushing RAM and CPU. Maybe I was just asking too much of a budget motherboard.

GeIL Ultra PC5300 CAS 3-4-4-8 (2.1-2.4v)

470Mhz 5-3-3-6 2.085v

I'm looking at getting a P5K Deluxe to really push the PC6400 CAS3 and maybe some Black Dragon quad channel RAM kits if I can source some.

Nice work on the XBX2:D

What is the fastes acheaved on XBX2 ?With these RAM sticks the fastest was 507Mhz.

A QX6700 started to error out at 333FSB on the 266mhz (1066) strap. Haven't pushed it on the 333Mhz (1333) strap yet.

A B1 ES E6600 runs at 400FSB on the 266Mhz (1066) strap with 1.65vMCH but I haven't gone any higher yet. As it has a locked multiplier on non-Extreme Edition CPUs, heat becomes a big issue from 3.6Ghz and up.

D9gmh ?Either D9GCT or D9GMH. Most likely D9GMH.

What cooling did you use for the memory to run at 2.4V?

I have 4Gb of the Ultra stuff ready for a Brisbane 3600 build, what are the highest clocks you got at 2.1V?

Nice clocks and thanks for Your work and posting

Ultra Plus is based on GMH sticks, but only Ultra DDR2 667/800MHz is based mostly on Elpida chips.

I'm tested hmm 5-6 set's of 667 Ultra and some set's of 667 Value and ... This is the same kit's  With timings 4-4-4-12/14/15 and voltage range 2.4 to 2.45V this mem can easy do 950-980MHz, so good, but this is without integration to alpha timings. Ultra 800 kit I also tested and this kit is also build on Elpida chips ( this we have in Poland ) and can do 900-930MHz with 4-4-4-12/14 @ 2.4V and some sticks can do litlle more than 1000MHz with 5-5-5-X @ 2.4V.

To cool the sticks I use a 40mm fan on the memory and bench out side of a case for easy of access.

The best I did on the BadAxe2 with the Ultra PC6400 at 2.12v was as follows.

357Mhz 3-4-3-10 2.12V
469Mhz 4-5-4-13 2.12V
487Mhz 5-5-4-14 2.12V

:)

More info on the first three kits I tested is here (http://www.geilunleashed.com/review.php?id=2)

I've been meaning to get some value kits to test too.

I've also found that the motherboard you use can have a big effect on the overclocking potential of the kits. For example they behave very differently on the 975X Badaxe2 than on the 650i ASUS P5N-E SLI.
