Overclocking Players and Rigs wanted....
I'm just kick starting this for you, you need to get a list going now.
Those who wish to play say so here.
if we can get a mod or admin to update this first post it would be helpful.
We got 1 month before we start... players will get 3 weeks to post.
so there's still time..

I'd be interested but my hardware is a bit dated. Still have some time so I'll see what I can do. I guess throw me into a B,C,D,E team. Sucks that phase is considered extreme, I consider it run of the mill :p:

i was wondering if you have a link to last years winners ? that would be cool to check into .

i'll give it a go i should have some free time in a week or two . maybe i'll grab a 680i and an extra g80 to help our scores .

I'm happy to throw my hat into the ring.
I have some changes coming to the rig at the moment - namely:
DFI Dark Mobo
XFX 7900GT
Enermax Infinity 720w
Different Air Cooling for CPU and NB
All in a new P182

Even still.....I'd go to war with what's in my sig if the rest of my build additions fall through. :)

Welcome aboard :) And I think we have to wait till the 29th of this month to start submitting our stock scores.

Ahhh the old FORUM WARS rears it's ugly head again huh?

Is it going to be the same as last year....where the organisers (TRP) limited scores from SSD's to 20k and allowed their own GURU's to use components that were not available to the public? It didn't go down too well with EOCF or GURU3D last year as a result. :down:

I'll represent XS in a category this year if there's enough of us to join, and if I'm actually needed :)

I just read through the rules and see no mention of HDD scores or limitations this time. Am I correct in assuming I may use SSD's or a RAMDisk since I use a RAMDisk 24/7 on my PC? (see sig) Infact, I've used it everyday since before the LAST forum wars where you disallowed their use :(

HDD scores don't count for this war. Here's the scoring table

The Scoring......
Points System will go like this..
3d01 = actual score
3d03 = actual score
3d05 = score x 3
Aquamark = score divided by 2
CM ALU = actual score
CM FPU = actual score
CM MEM = actual score
Super Pi = 10 seconds = 110,000 thru minimum 50,000 for 34 seconds or higher
All Teams will have their scores added then divided by the # of Players for a Team Score.


Classes
Teams and Catagories......
Ultra Extreme(UE) = Forums extreme cooling(anything below 0C),ES samples, unreleased hardware Players
A Team = Forums Best 4 players (with conventional cooling)
B-F Teams = 4 players per team (with conventional cooling)
ONLY (A, B, C, D & E) Teams are figured into the Overall Winner

Nope, you can submit default results for the next ~20 days ;) Gotta submit default results then there is a short break then we get to start submitting overclocked results.

Not too late... Start a posting thread and start posting scores...
you will need somebody to verify them or you can post your scores at any participating forum....
we have 2 weeks til the stock posting deadline.
after that you cannot play.....
get after it if you want in..
