I heard in another forum that they say this block was the first block for r600. is this true? Aqua and Dangerden announced their 2900xt block before Thermaltake. We talked about it at XS. İs that true ?

Despite featuring the 80nm R600 chip and a large (and relatively noisy) heatsink, the recently-released Radeon HD 2900XT can find itself singing Nelly's hit song 'Hot in Herre' in a matter of minutes of running 3D games and if you want to see how far the card's clocks can go than the poor 2900XT will certainly be craving a new cooling solution. Enter Danger Den, one of the first companies to officially announce a cooling alternative under the form of a water block that, once hooked up to a water-cooling kit should be able to refresh the R600 chip and give it, and the memory around it a lot more overclocking potential. Danger Den has not yet confirmed the price tag of the upcoming water block.

Well the Thermaltake block looks like it would serve you better as a paperweight. The Danger Den block looks well like Danger Den. The EK looks like Blockzilla. Did anyone really but a 2900XT anyway? :p:

Xtreme would be two RD30s running into each side of Blockzilla lol

At the end of the day, is R600 Crossfire even as fast as G80 SLI ? :)
