Cut an extra AC cord to the length I wanted, took the plug from an old PSU, soldered the connections and wires, used some heat shrink.

How come you purchased the S-150-24? I thought the 24 couldn't undervolt down to 18V which is supposedly the "Sweet Spot".

I was part of a bulk buy where a number of us got the same PSU/PUMP. It works well for me.

Thanks for the thread Phelan. Timely and much appreciated. I was wondering where I could find the info on this, or if I was going to have to try to figure it out for myself, which would not make me comfortable!

Great post Phelan; thanks for your continued help with this.
Does anybody know what that type of connector he used is called? I do not have an old power supply to raid.

The third – apparently unused cable on the 3 pin connector – any idea what it is for if anything? RPM?

I think he's using anderson connectors or something like that...looks like it cuz he's got the screws and all.

the three wires/pins on the plug are Green=ground, Blue= Neutral, Brown = Live, can't remember for sure right now, I asked my GFs dad.

No not on the power; on the pump connector there are 3 pins but only 2 wires seem to be used.

oh, yeah I noticed that too, but it runs fine with the two wires, in fact I don't know of anyone here on XS that uses RPM for the pump monitoring.

Is the 3rd pin connecting to the pump meant for RPM monitoring? If so I guess you can always use a single line of 18 gauge wire and cap it with a 3 pin female fan molex and plug it into your motherboard or BigNG for monitoring right?

Or am is my thinking wrong here....

The trick there is to find out if that really is for RPM. I have searched but no luck. My BigNG should be here tomorrow and I had hoped!

@ KaptCrunch.....

Thanks Very much - that is very much like what I want to do!

I found your Post here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2725948&postcount=790) on it. as well as this one. (http://www.overclock.net/attachments/water-cooling/55514d1188986984-relay-wiring-crydom-wiring-relay.jpg) Do you see any thing wrong with using the later? It seems to be very simple and super straight forward.

Please let me know your thoughts - as I respect your opinion greatly.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
