Sony makes PS2 on a chip (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=9070) :eek:
I was wondering will we ever see a PS2 out in the retail markets that uses this new chip, I'd be insterested in one as it would most likely be virtually silent because it hardly needs any active cooling...
Also some games like FFX and GT4 interest me, and it would be nice to watch DVDs on it too if it would be silent.

there still aren't any good games for the XBOX. well other than Halo, but after a 7 day rental, i was tired of it. :p:

Yeah, im waiting for psp, which is suppose to be a healthy mix between ps2 and ps1.

the new ps should be out late next year, probably around the time the PSP comes out. Sony just signed contracts with the fabs in april. So I would imagine some kind of production would start by the first of the year..........

The PS3 better come out sooner then that. Cause we can't let Nintendo have the only next gen console for like 2-3 years. No worry about XBox Next cause that will probably suck even though they're gonna get IBM to make the chip, it would still take a while to design it.
