Well, I saw the other day that Cardinal Fang over at Icrontic had stolen my top AMD/4200 default res title and I wanted it back :)
So I did some benching today....took that crown back, and also passed by a 3.1GHz P4....damn that felt good:

Mind you CF is using chilled coolant on his 2.1GHz beast and I'm only humming along w/ a 37dBa fan cooling my lil 1.9GHz machine! :D
Oh, and a KX7 compared to my 8K3A ;)

That's great. WIth a 4200 even better. Infact it's almost as good as I was getting with my ti 4400@320,770 and AMD at 1.87Ghz.

I'll tell ya one thing...I am highly impressed with my hardware! I mean, this $80 XP chip is now giving me 1.9GHz 3D runs on air. My EPoX 8K3A is running great for me and scoring pretty high. My Abit 4200 has been pretty amazing...the stock core clock is 250MHz on this thing and its core is clocking above most 4600's I see @ 335MHz. I've simply thrown a CPU cooler on the GPU, no memory cooling as of yet and no vmods yet either. My Samsung is not doing too bad either...190MHz FSB w/ all timings set to most aggressive...on a pretty aggressive BIOS to begin with. What can I say...I'm very pleased!

It is....that is why I'm running this old BIOS :)
That feature is disabled in the new BIOS's and you can't enable it ;)

Great stuff!
My cpu wont boot at 186 and fast.
However i bench at 205 and normal.....weird.
I´m almost sure that i could bench at over 190 and fast a few weeks ago so something must have happened to my cpu....
Any suggestions?

How much voltage are u using on your XP1600+ chip Mac??
I need 2.1voots on mined to hold stable and bench at 1860-1870Mhz.

A huge amount...i´ve tried everything from 1.85 to 2.1....
No diff whatsoever, m8.

N8 did you use the tweaks I gave you? Very nice score. The great part is the air cooled part. If you did use them I'm glad they worked for you.
