I have 4 of these (xms2 TWIN2X2048-6400C4) in my machine (P5K).

Should i have the speed set to 4-4-4-12 2.1v ?

Is it better to use these? TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX

Each set is fine if your MOBO will run them. According to CPU-Z your timings look correct to me.

Yellowbeard, for some reason since putting in my second set, Orthos keeps failing. Any ideas? With one set Orthos runs for hours without a problem.

Well, you just doubled the load on the chipset. Make sure it is cooled well and you will also probably need to increase your voltage to the NB a little.

Am I better off with 4 1gb sticks or 2 2gb sticks?

How much should I increase the NB?

4 x 1gb vs 2 x 2gb is personal choice really and is largely dependent on your MOBO. On a P5K, I doubt you will ever see the difference between the 2 you have listed. The main difference is in the future, if you want more memory, the 2 x 2gb kit leaves 2 slots open.

NB = north bridge, aka memory controller hub aka MCH.

Are either of these Micro Chips?

TWIN2X2048-6400C4
TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX

I just bought the memory, and could easily return the 4 sticks for 2.

Thanks YB

I will try increasing the NB voltage and see if that fixes my Orthos problems.
Now I need to figure out what the stock NB voltage is LOL
