Frst of all specs.

E6230
MSI P6N 680i (stock BIOS)
2Gb Corsair XMS2 C4
Water cooled
Vista Premium - 64bit

Got my E6320 to 3.4Ghz.

Dont know why I put the timings at 5-5-5-15 aswell. RAM can run at 4-4-4-12 at that speed.

At 3.45Ghz or above I just get a BSOD for some unknown reason.

That was at 1.45V.

Think this may be becuase of Vista maybe?

I have tried to run it at 1.575V and 1.6V at 3.4Ghz but nothing. Runs fine @ 3.2Ghz on those volts.

Currenlty running at 3.2Ghz on 1.35V.

Do you guys and gals think I may have hit a FSB wall maybe? Would just a simple BIOS update sort it out? Hopefully getting XP back again soon so I can see if it was Vista that is causing the BSOD.

Very confused at the moment. :(

Cheers

er what are your voltages like? did ya increase ht and nb? what was the bsod error?

also i find its not ur proc. but ur rams or mobo. try sync mode or something first see if it works.

I think you hit ya limits of ya mobo in combination with it 's cooling etc, I never reached 487FSB on my Striker , k I never tried with an Allendale or the newer conroes but 500FSB was only possible when I watercooled the NB and it was very hard to get stable...so my board tops out with my current E6600 at 3825Mhz... pretty happy with that...
