I'm at loss. Brand new setup. X6800, Badaxe 2, Corsair Dominator 8500. Tried one stick of memory, no go. Cheap stick of 256 MB of Buffalo memory, no go. Fans spin at 100% for 2-3 seconds, then reduce speed with no post or beeps. With no memory, three longs beeps, which indicates there is indeed no memory. Tried jumpers on configure bios ,on help. Is there some setting or jumper I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

Some really simple questions: Have you tried different mem sockets? Are all the power connections secure? Are you sure the video working?

Yes i've tried all dimms and if the video card wasn't working it would give a different beep code. Thanks again

Have you tried booting it in setup mode?

That's what I meant by configure bois jumpers.

Hate to be really obvious, but re the video, make sure the cables are connected. More than once I've stared at a blank screen because the video dongle wasn't connected.

Once I had that issue and it was driving me nuts. What caused it was that my Enermax psu and my usb hub (Belkin) when plugged into power ceased a post. Once I unplugged the power chord from the usb hub (but left the actually usb still plugged into my mobo) everything was fine. With new builds, I always try to start with the bare minimum plugged in.

My first Bad Axe 2 was DOA. You might just need another. :D

If the fans spin down after a while the memory should be ok. Every time i had no post because of bad memory OC the fans has stayed at full.
