Hi guys,

Having a slight problem with a mates rig.

He owns a Dell, E4300 system, with a locked bios, so cannot disable C1E, his systems running at 6 x 199 (1197MHz) Is there any way he can stop this mutli capping?

He has a Dell 0wg864 Mobo.

TIA

nothing wrong with it, as soon as he loads the CPU the speed will ramp up to full speed.

well actually C1E and EIST shouldn't lower the FSB, only the multi and Vcore.
the chip should be at 6*266 in idle. tell your friend to flash te latest bios

No, E4300 is 800FSB, all is normal. When the CPU loads the multy will go 9 (9x200 is deffault for this CPU).

you're right completely missed it and forgot E4300 has only 200mhz for stock FSB :am:
