You can see that i already sleeved some stuff such as fans and UV cold cathodes.

And heres a pic of some stuff i have for this watercooling build :

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6595/picte31nc9.th.jpg (http://img340.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picte31nc9.jpg)

This + what i have in my signature ATM = Awesome build for sure :D

I will post pics of the case when it arrives for sure. Then will start the real Watercooling Worklog!

Feel free to post comments and thoughts!

Update! 05\14\07 1:35PM Got the Case!

OM*G! What a hell of a case man! And it weight about 15lbs! My Stacker weight more! I love the power coated black, love the panels! Hell i love it all!

The package! Awesome Packing job there. Not a single scratch which i must admit kinda worried me since i placed my order. UPS did a great job handling it through US to CA and Mountainmod.com did a sweet Packing job! Oh and for those interested, 118$ Import fees ... (I'm in Canada) Which isn't that bad. I was expecting more. Actually not... lol It's still too much.

http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/8798/20070514image0003fc9.th.jpg (http://img355.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0003fc9.jpg) It's like christmas in here :D

And now the case!

http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/1366/20070514image0007xq0.th.jpg (http://img161.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0007xq0.jpg)

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/7333/20070514image0006ic5.th.jpg (http://img234.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0006ic5.jpg)

Got rid of the plastic and paper all over the place ;) ->

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/6446/20070514image0008ax9.th.jpg (http://img235.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0008ax9.jpg)

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/982/2007051j4image0003pk8.th.jpg (http://img516.imageshack.us/my.php?image=2007051j4image0003pk8.jpg)

Some stuff that came with the case -> (BTW: I ordered the 5 1/4 Bay cover separately as none would come with the case...)

http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/9748/200j70514image0007um0.th.jpg (http://img405.imageshack.us/my.php?image=200j70514image0007um0.jpg)

Those black metal plates will be used to hook the HDDs. I will mount them in the back of the case, on 2 120mm fans. That will give me the possibility to hook all 9 hard disk drive.

I will mount them right where you see the 2 120mm holes.

+ You can see that i got myself a sh*t load of 3 Pin Cable Extension and they provided some wheels! Also, as you can see, the switches are quite nice! Ill sleeve them too!

I will miss you my lovely Stacker! :lol2: Nah, im keeping it. I will switch my second comp into it instead of into my NZXT Lexa case.

As always, feel free to post comments and thoughts!

Update! 05\15\07 5:04PM

Did some work today. Installed some fans, sleeved some other stuff, mounted 1 fan controller and mounted some mosquito net on the fan grills that will pull air.

http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/4152/20070514image0004ut5.th.jpg (http://img105.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0004ut5.jpg)

http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/3461/20070514image0006ye9.th.jpg (http://img443.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0006ye9.jpg)

http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/4541/20070514image0007ij1.th.jpg (http://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070514image0007ij1.jpg)

Also, before i begin to disassemble my comp, i had to test out a E6400 L628B for a friend. So, thats what i did this morning. And i took pics and am about to Oc the CPU to see how far it can go. Currently it's at 3.2Ghz (400x8=3.2Ghz) with 1.3500v Let's see if it's stable! I know this CPU can do 3.6Ghz with 1.43v ... so i should be fine with 3.2Ghz and 1.3500v

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3489/20070515image0001qa3.th.jpg (http://img524.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515image0001qa3.jpg) Cleaning the E6400 and about to remove the Apogee WB to replace my E6600 for the E6400.

http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/3425/20070515image0003iv4.th.jpg (http://img244.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515image0003iv4.jpg) Removed my Lapped E6600.

http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/9166/20070515image0005qm7.th.jpg (http://img249.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515image0005qm7.jpg) Applying some AS5 on the E6400.

http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/3129/20070515image0007wa8.th.jpg (http://img514.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515image0007wa8.jpg) AS5 applied and E6400 hooked into the comp.

I doubt i will achieve 3.6Ghz thought... My board will probably limit me here... FSB limit i mean. it would require 455FSB and i don't think my P5W DH Deluxe will let me go that far. Oh well, we'll see!

Oh yeah and temps are Awesome! Check this out. First boot with the E6400.

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/5947/20070515image0008gc8.th.jpg (http://img512.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20070515image0008gc8.jpg)

http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/56/e6400l628b32ghztempsdh8.th.gif (http://img512.imageshack.us/my.php?image=e6400l628b32ghztempsdh8.gif) Core temps reports about 10 degrees over which is just normal.

Small Update : So far, so good for my E6400...

http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/3240/e6400l628b32ghzstablehf0.th.gif (http://img239.imageshack.us/my.php?image=e6400l628b32ghzstablehf0.gif)

Will try to bump the FSB and se where it can go with 1.3500v Then will bump voltage etc... Until temps or FSB wall stops me. When ill have it maxed out, ill do a 20hours+ Orthos run.

More to come! As always, feel free to post comments and thoughts!

Updated! 06/02/07 7:15PM (Check the third post)

Bad news... I did quite a lot of work of the comp and i took lots of pics while i was progressing through it... For some reasons, the HDD of my secondary comp got corrupted...coudn't use the comp at all. So, i decided to use my dad's comp to put the pics (about 20) on my Ipod Nano 4GB. My dad did not wanted me to leave anything on his comp so i just moved the pics from my cam to my Ipod with his comp. Tonight, at work, i decided to listen to some music... And the damn Ipod did not wanted to boot up at all! I thought maybe it's because the battery is completely drained... so i had to wait until i get back home this morning and try to charge it back but still nothing! It would't boot! The comp won't even reconize the Ipod. And i don't see any charging ''logo'' on the screen?! I'm sure i have tried the Ipod before going to work yesterday night and the Ipod was working well. I closed it the way i normally do and then put it in my pocket. Few hours later at work and it's not working ?!

Anyway, so... I lost all my pics... I just took some of what the case looks like but it pisses me off to have lost all those pics i took.

So, im at the point where i drained my old system, completely dissasembled it, removed the blocks from CPU and GPUs, cleaned them, also cleaned the CPU and GPUs cores with some Artic clean. I then applied some new AS5 and mounted back the blocks. ( Including my new FuZion ;) ) I changed the stock NB heatsink on my P5W DH for the Swiftech MCX159-CU with some AS5. Then i hooked the mobo (With my 2 X19s and the MCW60s on them) onto the UFO's mobo tray and into the case. I almost sleeved all cables and wires, hooked almost all fans into the case, actually, i hooked everything from my old system into the U2-UFO. And that includes my new and second Zalman 6 channel fan controller.

Take a look :

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/8948/laterest1001ez3.th.jpg (http://img503.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1001ez3.jpg) Lovely PA120.3 and all the crap i used to clean my stuff.

http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/2512/laterest1004qs5.th.jpg (http://img522.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1004qs5.jpg) Naked Stacker shots :p:

http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/598/laterest1006wy3.th.jpg (http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1006wy3.jpg) Nice Fan Grills with ghetto mosquito net hooked on them

http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/1153/laterest1002qq3.th.jpg (http://img143.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1002qq3.jpg) Side shot. Still gotta sleeve some 3pin extension cables. Waiting on my order from Jab-Tech to arrive. Should be there today. If not then it'll go to Monday...

http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/47/laterest1010kj8.th.jpg (http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1010kj8.jpg)

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/8027/laterest1009uo9.th.jpg (http://img255.imageshack.us/my.php?image=laterest1009uo9.jpg) Top view.

I'm a little worried about the new Swiftech chipset heatsink i instlled. It use the same mounting technique as the stock one... but it weight a tone compared to the stock one. It's made of some thick copper... I had a look under the heatsink a few times to see if the thermal paste would do a perfect square... It was doing a perfect square which means that it's doing good contact with the NB core. But now that the Heatsink is side way mounted i wonder if it's still doing good contact. It seems to be when i try to move it around but i wonder if it'll stay like that. What you guys think ?

Now whats remaining is first, hooking the fans on the rad and then, hook the rad into the case. Then finding a ''smart'' way to route the tubing to go all the way through the blocks, res, pump and rad. It must go out of the rad then right into the CPU WB first. Filling, bleeding, some cable management and we're good to go! :p:

PS: Thanks GeoffP for the tips  I already read your thread a few times!

Anyway, waiting on it so that i can hook my last fan, (Need the fan headers i ordered to fix the it) some more sleeving for the Rad's fans and thats quite about it. For today i think ill take it easy. Ill go out and try to get myself some screws for the rad (Through the case into the rad), some air spary can and some other usefull stuff. Will update soon!

Update!

Ahh! Huge update today! Did a lot of job. Since i decided to sell my X19s and bought a 8800GTX (Instead of a HD 2900XT), i decided to cool only the CPU for now. NCIX.com says ''ETA: June 5'' for the EK full-cover 8800GTX WB... So, will be waiting for it. I hooked the stock coolers on both of my X19s. When ill receive my EVGA 8800GTX, ill sell those X19s and will wait for a EK full-cover WB.

I just finished the plumbing job... It went smoothly but since im a guy without patience... Well, you know... lol Also, this morning i sleeved a cr*p load of 3 pin cables. Then worked around to connect them all while trying to keep the cables inside the case clean.

Enough chatting, bring the pics!

Update! 06/02/07 7:15PM

Reason why this update is so late is that i had so much problems getting the comp to run! You can check out the whole thread here : http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/troubleshooting/1385-help-me-before-i-waste-everything.html

Basically, the motherboard was dead and after trying all components separately, i found the prob... But had to buy cheap ram and cheap CPU just to test out and see which component was dead. And of course, had to hook all the comp onto my desk ... with stock coolers... as i couldn't work into the case... Basically, it was Try - error, Re-try - error etc... Until i find where the prob is. And i found it after a week. I was getting really mad at the comp and was really impatient to get it working. Enough that i was doing things incorrectly... I would forget things, screw the job up etc... What a long task! Also, i have been more than busy these last 2 weeks. I just started working during day! And it's been 2 years since i work during night. I must admit that by some time i was kinda all screwed up. The first day i worked in the day, i felt like if i was in a bad dream all day long! And i feel like i wasted my life working these last 2 years... Now that i'm getting back into social life...

Anyway, so i got around and found the prob. Fixed it by buying a brand new P5B Deluxe and hooking all my stuff onto it. After about 200 boot ups without posting on my P5W DH...The comp posted back with the new board! The prob was fixed...

So, after trying the comp onto my desk, onto my U2's mobo tray, with stock coolers... I decided to put back everything into my case under watercooling. When everything was done, including the cable management, and when i was about to press the button, i recorded my reaction...LOL And the results are hilarious for me.

Yes. It's virtually silent!

Now whats remaining is to test out my X1900XTX to make sure it work correctly. Then, ill plug in my new EVGA 8800GTX and sometime after, ill watercool it with my DD 8800GTX WB :)

Small Update! 6\18\07

Awesome new pics of my system. Just took them :D

Thats with new 8800GTX (Big Thanks goes to Dynasty ) installed and some more cable management done. Also, i removed that crappy mosfet Asus include with their motherboard...It would not make any temps difference and the NB would become enough hot that i couldn't touch it for more than 5 secs. Instead, i removed the Asus "shield" and hooked my Sunon 60mm fan. NB is pretty much just warm now.

Hell yeah i did! But i forgot to get myself some more bay cover when i placed my order at MM... Maybe ill order some more by the same time i order some UV Blue acrylic feet which i also forgot to buy...

Shouldn't be though to do, right ? Place the stock Zalman plate over the 5 1/4 bay, mark the holes and drill them! :)

Patriote, read my build thread. I used a small hacksaw to carefully cut out some of the side mounting plastic on the bay covers. I then test drilled the cutouts and found the plastic is very, very brittle. My sharp drills completely snapped the plastic every time. Ended up drilling very small pilot holes very very carefully, then used a dremmel to bore each hole out.

Was later told that if I used a blunt drill, it would not grab the plastic (which is what snapped it).

Just be careful when you drill mate :p:

Hey Patriote, lets wait until Summer here in Texas, my CPU will probably make a big difference with 3 digit temperatures for about any 15 days in East Texas. My CPU in Winter (60 at high) will get my temp. at 32C and summer will probably get me to 40C and the house will be 77F with new A/C which means cold nowadays. This will suck for my Computer, I will have to stick with my temperature for 5 months. :yepp:

Anyways, you got a very nice case dude! how much did that cost, I am interested in getting one those soon.

Yeah the case did cost 501$ CAD shipped to my house with UPS Canada Standard. I bought it from Mountainmod.com and i had to pay another 118$ CAD of import fees and others when it arrived. Quite a lots if you ask me...But the case is worth the money!

Little update on why it's taking so long...lol

I bought a 8800GTX and am replacing my X19s for it. Also trying to put my hands on an EK 8800GTX WB... If i can't find one, ill get a DD 8800GTX WB.

Ill sell my X19s pretty soon. If anyone interested, just PM me. It's official that ill sell them just didn't had time to post take pics of the card with there stock coolers on. And i respect the rules. I won't sell the cards to someone in here until i posted them for sale in the appropriate forum section with the pics. Just letting you guys know... :D

So, am waiting for my 8800GTX to arrive as well as a 8800GTX WB before doing the loop. I might have to test run everything on air first so ill post pics for sure!

Oh yeah and do you guys think there would be any problems running the loop with the radiator having it's barbs down the case ? I mean like having the radiator hooked with the barbs down instead of up ?

Thanks!

I think most thermochill rads are meant to be oriented in that manner where the barbs are at the bottom and the bleed screw is at the top.

Your build really is turning out nice.

Don't worry about the Swifty MCX-159CU. I had one on my NB and now use it on the SB since I installed a MCW-30 on the NB. The cooler works great and I never had an issue with the fit and function.

Nice job on the wire sleeving, I will have to do my UFO buttons and LEDS also. You would have thought for the cost of the case it could have come sleeved or at least different color wires?

Having that window shaker right next to your UFO is a nice touch, talk about on demand cooling. :toast: :rocker:

I am interested in picking up this case as well....may I ask, was it $501 CAD in total or $501+$118 = $ 619 CAD ?

Hi Teflonman! I paid 501$ CAD at mountainmod.com for the case shipped to me with UPS Canada standard. And when it arrived, had to pay 118$ of import fees and handling fees to UPS.

Note that i had to contact mountainmod.com's costumer service to see if i could choose Canada Standard as my shiping methode. It clearly says when checking out your order ''Canadian Order must choose USPS only!'' And thats because they had problems with ppls not paying imports fees or something like that. Anyway, they allowed me to use UPS Canada Standard as my shipping methode. And i must say that It wasn't a good idea! I should have listened ppls and go with USPS anyway. It took a good 2 weeks for the case to arrive... And i still had to pay a good amount of import fees and stuff. It seems that UPS charges you 30$ USD just to clear even the smallest packages... So imagine for such a case/box...

But what i hate about USPS is that when it arrives to the Canada lines, the tracking number is then useless. You can't see it doing it's way through Canada to you... And also because there is no ''Your package should be there on XX'' You just see your package doing it's way through USA...

Thanks for the kind words too! :)

I am guessing that this is not the case with the stock ones, and that they are just solid cooper? basically I just get a saw and cut it?

Yeah i should be getting my 8800GTX (From Dynasty - Thanks man!) by the end of the week along with a DD 8800GTX brand new sealed from a good guy. As for the heatpipe, i used a pair of pliers/cutters to cut it. The coper pipe is pretty thin so it wasn't hard to cut at all. Oh and no gas in there on mine. Never heard about gas being into heatpipes too

thanks a lot for the reply patriote.. pliers huh.. sounds easy enough even for me.. :woot:

as far as "gas" I was really tired but I knew "something" was used on good heatpipes...according to wiki:

A typical heat pipe consists of a sealed hollow tube. A thermoconductive metal such as copper or aluminium is used to make the tube. The pipe contains a relatively small quantity of a "working fluid" or coolant (such as water, ethanol or mercury) with the remainder of the pipe being filled with vapour phase of the working fluid, all other gases being excluded.

thanks again...and have a good one too :D

Alright... Now having some probs. Initial boot was yesterday morning... Everrything powered up fine but no post! No boot screen! I know it's not a graphic problem or anything related to the screen because i don't even see the mouse and keyboard getting power. So, it has to be something around the mobo, CPU, RAM and or PSU. Gonna try and see whats wrong today... That really kinda piss me off. Cuzz ill have to unplug everything off the mobo including the WB from the CPU, remove the mobo tray, mount the stock CPU cooler, use a second PSU etc.. ill have to go step by step and see what wrong and whats the component causing this prob. Arrrggg!

EDIT: Just put back everything on my desk with another PSU, only 1 GPU (X1900XTX) and with stock CPU cooler. And still no post! Tried to remove the ram stick 1 by 1 to see if one was dead (I had the same prob a few months back, comp not posting... and it was because of a dead stick...) but still nothing! F***!

After about 2 mins the CPU fan stops spinning ? WTHeck ? Like i said, i don't even see the lights of the mouse and keyboard lightining up. So, that means that it's not related to Graphic cards or monitor right ? Also, 5 sec after i booted up, the HDD seems to not be reading anymore. I can't ear the ''Crrrrr'' sound anymore.

So, that leave me 2 possible reasons why the comp isn't posting. Either the CPU is dead, maybe i crushed it...applying too much pressure on it with the FuZion ? Would the comp even boot if it would be the case ? Or the mobo has something somewhere not working... I did mounted a new (quite heavy) NB heatsink on it while i was working on my WC. Could i have crushed the NB core ? and would the comp even boot ?

Whats reallys sucks more is that im totaly clueless on what hardware is deffective... and sent my last E6400 a few days... So, i can't try with another CPU. As for the mobo... well i don't have any others...

What a pain in the ... If anybody can help me out finding what the heck is wrong here i'd apreciate a lot.

I might try to switch my X1900XTX for my X1950CF to see if anything comes up on the screen but i doubt it would chnage anything. If it really was a graphic card related problem, i would see the light of the mouse and keyboard powering up sometime after i booted, right ?

Well, i just switched mt X1900XTX for my X1950CF to see if anything would change and still... not post. I can't try a VGA cable cuzz anyway, both of my graphic cards only have DVI ports. Im really starting to think that it's the motherboard. I can ear the HDD searching, at least doing noise, for a few sec (3-4) after i boot. Then it stops. And about 2 mins after i booted, the CPU fan stops spinning WTH ?

I might have a good friend that i could send him my RAM sticks and CPU so he could test them out and see if those are working. If so, then it's the motheboard for sure. I tried with a diff PSU, 2 different cards, different HDD, hell different power buttons and SATA cables. Im so clueless...

http://www.supload.us/thumbs/default/leaktesting006pk5.jpg (http://www.supload.us/free/leaktesting006pk5.jpg/view/)

Bought some small standard screws for though the case to rad. And as for fans to rad, well, i bought some other screws also standard that i cuted to the right lenth with a pair of pliers.

Septim: Yeah it is connected.. lol

Im currently chatting with a friend and he's giving me steps to follow to try stuff and see what works and what doesn't. He says it's probably ram. And if it is... i have to RMA. If ram is dead, ill have to go out, get a cheap ram stick, just to test out if it's really ram that is dead. And it it does, ill RMA my kit... and will get a new mobo by the same time. This one has killed 3 kit... so probably has a problem somewhere. Now that i have a 8800GTX sitting on my desk, ill probably look into a board with Nvidia chipset.

Anyway, ill let you guys know how the try/re-try error thing goes. If someone has something in mind that could cause this, post it up! Thanks.
