Hello all. About ready to undergo the buildout of all my components and had a few loose ends. Those of you with an RD-30: "How did you attach the 1/2" tubing to the pump inlet and outlet? Anything special with the level of head pressure? Any special mod to get the fittings in place?

Any help appreciated. Any pics GREATLY appreciated!

well MAXX said you could slip 1/2ID barbs over it no problem. After taking a look at mine, i dont see an issue with it either. You just need to either boil the tip, or use a little bit of astroglide to help slip it over.

1/2ID Tygon fits over both the barbs no problem (forced it on dry:D )

Thanks guys. That is helpful. I was a little concerned with the thin wall around the inlet. I wanted to make sure to not have a blowout with the reservoir.

I saw your thread going on NaeKuh, and have been following it with much interest. If I can find the dang time to flush my rads I can start putting this thing together! (Unfortunately my Meanwell S-150-24 came in not working. Waiting on the replacement.)

Where's everyone getting their RD-30's. I sent a PM to Naekuh but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'd like to get one asap as to reduce the downtime on my system.

Hello Ranker. I am on the East coast (and actually work about 10 minutes from where I ordered my pumps).

Here is where I got mine. They got them in within a week, and are official Iwaki distributors:

I mentioned the forum to the guy I ordered from and he was surprised to hear that the RD-30s were hard to find. He called Iwaki for me and said they had them sitting there and would ship them out same day. I just ran over and picked them up.
