Hi there,
Got myself a new PC but to my opinion the temps on load are to hot.

Hardware :
Antec NSK6000 (120 mm outtake @ back and 92 mm intake @ front).
Asus P5B-E
Intel E6600
2 GB Kingston modules
Vista x64
Arctic Freezer Pro
Asus 8800 GTS 320 mb

On IDLE my temps are (ambient temps are +/- 21):
System : 39
CPU : 44
Core 0 : 24
Core 1 : 24

LOAD (Stressing with Orthos)
System : 40
CPU : 60
Core 0 : 44
Core 1 : 43

Already tried to re-mount the heatsink several times even with different thermal compount but no luck.

Anyone ideas?
And if I need another heatsink, wich should I take ?

- Thermalright Ultra-120 Heatsink
- Scythe Infinity SCINF-1000
- Scythe Mine SCMN-1000
- Tuniq Tower 120

Seems a little hot for stock? Ive had OCs that had those temps

Check your mounting, that sink is losing under load which it shouldnt be that hot at stock, and replace the AF7pros thermal pad, it sucks haha.

As for a new cooler totally up to you, Tuniq, Ultra120, Ultra-X(enzotech), or the Ultra120X are all great coolers.

Doesn 't seem that bad to me w/ the Arctic Freezer, but if you want to do any serious OCing get the Tuniq out of your choices, or the Ultra 120 Extreme.

Ultra-X(enzotech)
Good heatsink but not a lot of people talk about it.

Thanks for the replies :)

As for re-applying the thermal paste, I did that and it gave me little improvement. (Spire thermal paste or is AS5 better?).

And yes it's the load temps that concerns me :D

Edit :
Before I forget, I run @ stock speeds.

Small update :

Got myself a Infinity (huge sink :D ) and temps dropped a bit (see screenshots)

Ambient : 21.3 celcius

- IDLE
CPU : 42
Motherboard : 40
Core 0 : 22
Core 1 : 22

(on the screenshots you see the temps after a cold boot)

- STRESSED
CPU : 56
Motherboard : 41
Core 0 : 40
Core 1 : 40

Now I have severall questions wich I don't understand :)

- Why is CPU higher then both Core temps, I understood that it should be the otherway.
- Core temps are close to ambient, is this correct ? I understood this should be severall degrees higher then ambient. Where as its here only +1 degree celcius
- Motherboard temp? When playing a game (have 8800 GTS card) the temp can rise to 51 degrees. To me this is not good :) I tried a 120 mm on the side and this kept my MB temp on 35 degrees, however the CPU then rising with severall degrees.

Anyone ?

As for CoreTemp 0.95, in a thread on this forum discussing the different readouts from severall programs (eg Speedfan, CoreTemp, TAT etc) someone stated that with CoreTemp you should set the option "Show Delta to TJunction temp" checked. This would be a more accured reading from the sensors.

So for me, the temps looks nice :)
But if anyone can enlighten me with some answers on my question, I will be thankfull :)
