Are the Deluxe versions only being released at this time or later in the week are the non fancy versions coming out? Anyone have any idea about the non deluxe pricing? Also how worth it to go for one of them over a 650i or p965?. Thanks, who knew deciding on a new mobo could be this big of a :banana::banana::banana::banana:.

There is also the P35X chipset to consider. When does that one get released.

I think you are thinking of the X38 chipset which is the high-end replacement for the 975X. The P35 is the 965 chipset replacement. The X38 chipset is due around the end of the year I think but not sure exactly when.

It seams nothing will be launched today after all. Intel stepped in and imposed an embargo on all P35 sales, so the NDA will officially lift on May 21st and the boards will only be available in mass quantity from June 4th.

I still see places that sell them and have them in stock.

Well, grab them while you can. :)

nicepun are you sure it's not a rumor after all? This whole story is pissing me off. I've never seen so much confusion surrounding a product launch.

how would 45nm run with DDR2? Or is it pointless and might as well just get a high performing p965/650i?

Glow9, you sure have a million questions, don't you? :)
They'll run just fine. DDR3 won't become mainstream until 2008-2009 and the performance increase in real life won't amount to more than a few percent. Don't worry so much about every little thing. :p:

funny i'm being held back as the board only has 1x PS/2 port for keyboard, and i don't use USB mouses as i have a PS/2 kvm switch - have to order PS/2 to USB adaptor LOL
