I got recommended to get the pump with the 1/2" adapter in the water cooling guide is that wrong?

Yes but that is not the issue. Look further in. The flow rate is lower on the DDC 2 then the D5 for example. It said it´s better suited for 3/8 rather then large tubing. Much resistance in the pump and so not that suitable for high flow systems...

Anyway I don´t think it can be that bad I will still get it due to it´s small size

well the head pressure is better in ddc2 pumps when compared to D5, i have em both and ddc2 owns in performance..;)

head height is what you're after in a pump not flow rate and the DDC-2 gives the highest max. head of any pc water pump. It's the pump to go for. :toast:
