When I did the Vgpu mod, I could not even get GPU core speed up to 480 (a lot of artifacts), I even increased the Vgpu to 1.9v.

I have the core overclocked to 470 without vmods.

Cooling is stock but I have one slot fan to draw the air out, one 80mm fan blowing from the side and card cooler(2 x 92mm fans) push the air down from the top.

I have a TweakMonstor's heatsink on the back of the GPU as well.

That happens, some cores overclock easily others dont..

I've got a 9800 Pro that I was able to overclock to 440MHz with stock setup.. After the vmod (@1.8V) I couldn't go higher than 470 without artifacts and even with a 500gr cooler with extra fans it got hot as hell...

Soo, my vmod didn't pay off either, I've actually removed the vmod now as it was kinda useless... I think the heat is more a limiting factor with my gpu than voltage is as I'm still able to approach the 470MHz with the additional cooling I installed when I vmodded.
