hi im new here.. very nice place..
meaby i will find anwser to my problem here
i want to overclock my t-bird 1000mhz FSB on a kt7-raid
1gig pc 133 ram

but my system just can't seem to be able to go over 115FSB :(

at 117 it boot but windows canot find file it need to bott ... (raid controler problem?)

i know it an old board.. so i was wondering if whats i could do on my way to upgrade like can i buy a new board on wich my cpu will work but also newer athlon xp 2200
so i can start upgrading (mtb with ddr ram then cpu)
cause i am in a colege and i have not a lot of cash so i could upgrade part by part
but also could overclock my old t-bird with much faster FSB so i can get best of my gforce4 ti4600

ps. using TT super orb fan..

so whats you guys think is the max FSB i can get on a kt7-raid
and is there a board wich workj with old t-bird and also work with newer xp cpu?

thanks

Welcome to Xtreme:D

The KT7 not the 'A' version won't go very high in the FSB. I remember that all of mine would run max stable at 112-115 and this was with good memory and Northbridge cooling. Old Chipset on that mobo.

yup, great ol board but your not going to get more from the fsb especially if you run winxp. When I had 98 on the kt7-r I could do 112 but not with winxp, it just won't load the os.
