Looking to upgrade my comp, this is what I had in mind:

e4300
OEM biostar tforce 965pt @ newegg
2x1gb ballistix pc2-5300

I've deceided to wait and see what other dx10 cards are coming out and I think my psu(see sig) should be capable of handling this set up. Basically I'm looking for a cheap upgrade to c2d w/ OC capabilities. My budget is about $300-400. If anything I might change the mobo to ds3 for the extra vdimm as it might be necessary for the ram. I noticed that the ds3 rev 1.3 is $109.99 @ newegg. Anyone have any experience w/ this board. I dont need sli or raid if that helps. Suggestions are welcome, thanks.

P.S
Doesn't seem like my sig has posted so...I have a fsp ax500 psu.

Would the psu I have listed in my sig be able to power this system? Also for what reasons have you recommended the p5b-d over the biostar and what are typical OC's with these boards.

500W should be enough C2D doesn't consume much power , i recommeneded the P5B because it is better quality, better OC , less bugs and will get better support here @ XS because the majority here use it , and for the OC don't worry your CPU will be the limiting factor

P5B-D is one of the best P965 OC'ers, thats why all these guys use it. I would suggest this ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231065

Those Gskills are GMH (gSkill rep garonteed it) memory chips and are cheaper then the ballistix your looking at.
