Project name: SSCube (=Stainless Steel Cube/ sc00p's steel cube...pronounced sc00p;))
First of all few excuses and explanations.
So, no worklog this time, sorry. It's cause of extremely tight schedule I had last week (16). And that is why SSCube is still a little bit unfinished. Last week I spent just few hours to get stuff together and so on. My friend asked me wednesday (18.04.) to take part of LAN which was going to be held saturday (21.04.). I said: "fine, I'll come" LOL. I had then about 50% of frame figured out and done and I didn't have any graphics card at all because I thought I was going to wait for Ati R600 :P: Friday (20.04.) at lunchbreak I went and bought nice Inno3D 8800GTS 640mb Overclock version. Then right after weekend started 16:00 and others went to drink some; I started to build up that stainless steel cube which I had visualized in my head. Ok, now that we do not have pictures/worklog about building process... we can skip that and I just say 22 hours non-stop building; grinding and sawing and drilling and measuring and re-planning took place. And toll of my physical health. I was back home 14:30 saturday (21.04.) evening and really tired. At this point I had been awake ~32 (tough) hours. I took couple of hours naps and then went to my friend and played hard (after some drivers/tweaks went through).
This was what I got to finally to get rid of. It was in the past the machine I dragged to LANs with me. Yeah you know: some funny comments were fired towards me. Oh well... at lans we always knew who got the biggest, umm... piece of hardware ;):

Next picture is for Pete. I promised a pic from my old wced psu; it's really old 465w Enermax:

Now then, to the actual business. I was aiming for a cube which would look somewhat industrial and robust, but not to weight too much. And external measures were to be less than 35X35X35cm (=13,8X13,8X13,8"). This was most important and difficult. I managed to squeeze that to 33X33X35cm (widthXdepthXheight). I'm happy :)

From certain angles&lighting it looks very good IMO when the patterns of brushing start to show.

Future plans:
- make new acrylic top plate and fasten it with hinge from the back side.
- side door would be nice too
- at front panel Evercool's aluminium fans would look good IMO.
- I could put one thick (or three) 12cm fan to back side to suck more air in.
- cable tiding/management...
- do it again... with better grade of finishing& with worklog (this one is for lans... it will take dents and bruises after all) :p:
