According to spong.com, idsoftware will present a playable demo of doomIII and some pictures of the forthcoming quake4 a the QuakeCon2003 (mid august in Dallas)

No,
the last date I heard was for either November or december. It was on a half-life 2 article I read put out by valve bragging that their game would be out before either doom 3 or Halo 2.

From what i heard it's microsoft that is repushing the release of halo II, it's a marketing trick
