Hey Guys!

I am in the market for a new case! As of right now I have a modified Ultra ATX UV Wizard. It is ok but I am growing out of it. I have 4 hard drives (2 of whick are Raptors in a RAID 0) and dual DVD drives.

My current case has a 4200 RPM 80mm fan in the front, another on the top, 2 on the side, and a 120mm in the back. I think my case stays pretty cool right now except for the hard drives. I need a case that can really cool down the hard drives. It also needs to have room for my Thermaltake Big Typhoon!!!:)

Noise from fans is not really a problem for me because I have a full server rack right next to my desk:D

So far I have looked at the usual suspects:

-Thermaltake Armor
-Coolermaster Stacker 810
-Lian Li
-Antec 900

I do not like the armor simply because if the "doors' on the front. What are they for??

I would really like to have a clear side panel (with fan holes) on the Stacker 810... do they make one?

I am not sure what the best Lian-Li case is...some seem to small to me...

The Antec 900 has been shot down as a bad case by many. I kinda like it. I guess it is because I don't have a HUGE PSU like most people.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!:stick:

Silverstone TJ07
Silverstone TJ09
Lian-Li V2000
Coolermaster Stacker

My top picks. The Silverstone TJ03 would also be in there if I could have 5, I love that case (my case). ;)

I would add Lian-Li G70B to the list.

You can find it cheaper, but this is good info:

i have a tt armor myself and i love it.many find the "doors" annoying but i don't.they look cool and don't really bother me.the magnets are weak but that's how they were meant to be.
i guess they're there to prevent you from opening the drives by accident or something.
lots of room to install hardware and it reduced my temps a great deal.also the blue leds and toolless design are nice.
however, installing the psu can be tricky.other than that though,i really can't find any other con.

at less than $150,it's hard to beat.

Is it possible to put an additional 120mm fan in the front of the CoolerMaster Stacker 810??? If It is, i'm sold on it!!!

My friend has the armor (houses his quad-FX setup), he got annoyed at the "doors" and just removed them.

Why does everyone hate the Antec 900??? I really like the 2 120mm fans in the front. That is why I asked if it was possible to mount a 2nd 120 in the front of the Stacker...

You can stack up to 3 120mm in the front of the stackers, provided you have the 5.25 bays free. So yes, another 120mm will fit.

When you say "stack" do you mean it is not designed for you to do it. Or are there fittings\holes for it. We are talking about the 810 model right???

Please tell me on the STC-T01 that you can mount 2 80mm fans in place of the 2nd PSU spot if you only have 1 PSU?????

Gigabyte Aurora 570 is an amazing case once you replace the stock fans :D

Holy crap!!! Now I see why everyone loves this case!!! But... To mount an additional second 120 in the front, do you need to buy an extra mount thing????

PS. by the looks of it you can't put your 2 80mm fans in the PSU spot on the top due to the weird PSU mount...Without modification of course...

The Stacker also has a vent on the bottom of the case that you can mount fans on right?????

No need for an extra mount. Just a matter of finding a clever way to get it to stay there. A friend of mine used a long, thin peace of black cable sleeving and secured the fan by tying the ends in some of the screw holes. Works like a charm.

But if you want to have a second internal 3.5 cage for extra HDs, don't you get a mount for the 2nd fan anyway?? (on the 2nd cage)

(It only comes with one cage)???
