How hard would it be to mount a 360 into a computer case?

I have the Lian-Li "cube", and it seems perfect for some dual system action. Unfortunately Google has been of a little help so far.

Thanks :)

i doubt very many people have taken apart their 360's, you'd probably ahve to be the pioneer on this matter. so get to pioneering some stuff!

Fortunately something similar has been done by others, with decent results to show for it: http://http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/18/how-to-make-an-xbox-360-laptop-part-1

Hmmm summer has meaning again!

plenty of people have taken their 360's apart
me included. i've taken apart, examined, and modded several.
hardware and case mods.
its pretty easy.

in order to put one in a computer case you rally need to find a small booken style case of something slightly larger.

i would search ebay for something along the lines of an NLX case or similar mATX case.

have your dremel handy, bondo or other similar filler, eboxy and other things if you want it to look nice.

its not that hard to do if you can find the right case.

have fun man,,

So I just happened to stumble across a post claiming success with a standad ATX poswer supply.

Unfortunately any real PSU knowledge is beyond me, and I'm hoping for a second opinion on the legitimacy of this "mod."

EDIT: This would be preferable, because I could simply add the following adapter:

My next problem is figuring out how to securely add another MB... space is not an issue. I was thinking of buying a spare MB tray, but I have no idea where to go from there. Advice?

if you wanted to use a standard power supply make sure you do alot of research about the power needs of the xbox vs what the psu is putting out.

there is usually differences and M$ does that on purpose.

personally, i would start buying spare parts off eGay

video cards, power supplies, etc etc.
find a couple of mATX cases or something, and start sizing up, and drawing, and tossing around ideas.

the reason i chose an NLX form factor is that NLX is small, about the size of a 360, now if you found a large enough one what you can do is remove the xbox psu from its plastic shell and mount it in the chase where the NLX psu would go. many nlx psu's are either short and small or long and skinny.

some not all NLX cases also have a full size DVD so you can jsut slap the xbox one right in.

you can just search ebay for NLX case and some old gatewya systems will come up. probably even a few that i built ;)
i actually was considering getting a couple and putting an Xbox 1 into one, as replacing a borked xbox is cheaper than a 360.
