I've got a machine thats always been giving me problems, and I am tired of this, I wanna figure out what is causing it to be so unstable.
:slapass:
specs:
Intel core 2 Duo e6600
Asus P5B Deluxe
Super Talent ddr2-800 T800UB1GC5 5-5-4-12
leadtek 7950gt 512mb
bios: 1001
I have several problems:
1) from time to time, when you press on button, the system turns on for a sec, then goes off suddenly, waits a few seconds and then turns itself back one!!
2) if the cmos clears, I must take out my super talent and put in another chip: then I must raise the dram to 2.1v
3) in hardware monitor it reports for the 3.3v IN RED at around 2.8v I am guessing that is a significant problem? Also it reports VERY HIGH temp of 49-52c (however I just put on a fresh layer of zalman thermal grease zm-stg1 less than an hour ago I hope it improves.. )
Any attempt to OC always results in a sudden reboot followed by an annoying game of trying to get the system back up. BTW when I have the system running at all defaults except 2.1v ram and 1.45nb (seems to make it more stable) I can run orthos for a while...
possible problems I think: I have a 480w power supply with 1 rail 12v+ A19, it does not have a 4+4 connector but merely 4pin connector (so its missing that...)
Also touching the RAM it seems very hot...
oh and I'm using the lga 775 stock cooler right now :P I'm still looking how to get a thermalright ultra 120 extreme over here to israel ...
let me know what you guys think I have my PC in the lab here so hopefully we can figure out whats up..
I think the 3.3v running at 2.8v in RED in the bios could be a particular problem but I am still a n00b at this... (however I am a computer technician soo lets get technical!!)
