I have an e4300, and I'm soon going to buy a 8800GTX I was wondering if my CPU will bottleneck, The rest of my specs are in my sig.

Thanks everyone,

(sorry if this is in the wrong area)

Not really.
If you're going to USE, I mean for real, use the GTX, then you will be fine.
By use I mean run "high end" resolutions - AA/AF combos ( if that can be said ).

If I got your point right, you want to buy a 8800GTX just to run the 3D Mark benchmarks series ?
From what I can see in your sig, your scores will be good enough, but don't expect any ground-breaking scores ( unless you get your hands dirty ) [ extreme cooling on CPU + VGA ].

No heavy duty cooling but sometimes chilled air when its cold out. With my 7950GTs I've hit 11k in 3D06, how much of an up in point will I get? like in the 15k's? And once in a while I play NFS:Carbon and RTCW: Enemy Territory and DOOM3 hows the FPS going to be in the games too?

That CPU/GFX card scaling chart should give you all the info you need, just clock the E4300 to 3GHz or more, it would then be as much of a bottleneck as any of the top processors, you'll get better gains maxing out the graphics cards GPU/MEM clock speeds.

Going from 3GHz to 3.6Ghz resulted in zero gains, +1-2 FPS at most.
