mcw60 and 7950 gx2

will the mcw60 work on the 7950 gx2? evga is rmaing both of my 7900 gto's and replacing them with this model. I hope I Can still watercool them or do I need a special mounting kit?

Once you use that you can use the MCW60's on it, like in the pic.

It's been a while, but you will need a special block, or the extension kit to spread the two cards apart. You are talking about the two cards sandwiched together right?

I just spent like 200 bucks on watercooling for the gpu's and now evga is :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing me all up by sending me this card. how the hell am i supposed to do this even with that part? I cant go quad sli which i was hoping. im gettin more and more pissed about this.

yeah but the spacer shows you need to mcw60s or so i thought in the picture it shows that. plus its incompatible with quad sli which is what I thoght it said.. maybe im wrong on both..

Oh sorry I thought you meant you were getting a single 7950gx2. I think you're in a bit of trouble. I think you need 2 more blocks or something...

yeah thats what i mean and with the spacer kit you could fit the 2 cards and thats it.. no sound card no nothing just the 2 cards and youd have to pay at least 120 more for 2 mcw60's! I cant believe how screwed i am. The only thing I can do is either request they send me two other cards or convert my entire watercooling setup. Either im stuck with no watercooling of the gpus or I dont know what the hell is my choice this just sucks

I'd request for 2 other cards. 7950GX2s cause big problems in terms of cooling. Well lets see, you could get 2 spacer kits, 2 maze5 gpu (its cheaper by 3 dollars) and a bunch of zalman or cheaper ramsinks... still 120 dollars. Not pretty at all...

I thought i was getting a good deal rmaing 2 7900 gto (250 each) for 2 7950gx2 (450-600) but the compatiblity thing is just retarded. I googled those cards I cant even find a site that got quad sli working! let alone on vista I dont even want to know how bad thats gonna be.

Easy, get them, sell them! That is a s*** good deal!!!!!!!
Sell them and get yourself an 8800gts or a 8900 when it comes out!
I'd say its certainly worth the hassle, thats a good bit of cash potentially going into your wallet.

yeah i guess but i just wanted my computer to work. I just spent all this money to get into watercooling then I have to deal with that :banana::banana::banana::banana:ty motherboard evga 680i. I just wanted to get it running and overclock this thing and see what its made of !
