Hi,

I have an AW9D non-MAX and I like it, but one huge problem is really annoying me.

If I power the system down, upon powering it back up the POST code 83 will show then I will hear my hard drives clunk and simultaneously the POST code will change to 8E then be back to 83 for a while until the next clunk. It will never successfully post unless I clear CMOS via the jumper.

This also happens when vista attempts to "sleep".

8.E. means you need to check the fan connector of CPU because CPU need to be coolered by the CPU cooler.

Sometimes it happens when you dont plug the fan on it.

8.3. means you need to check the 8-pin connector of power supply...

83 or 8e is different from 8.3. or 8.e.

ooOOo thankyou! Very helpful, I will try now and see if plugging fans into that header solves my problem.
