i was browsing the ocz site and you guys have sticks of memory called "vista special" memory, says its designed specifically for running with windows vista...........whats this all about, since when is special "vista ram" needed to run an operating system?

Its a 2GB module or 4GB kit for the ram hungry Vista GUI :)

It's an attempt to sucker in somebody to buying it thinking that they can only buy that kind for Vista because it says "Vista Series". I guess Vista series means: You need this to run MSpaint. Kind of like what Ryder said.

Look, what we name a product has nothing to do with suckering anyone into anything. We made a 4gb kit to better deal with Vista's heavy memory requirements. Why is everything a conspiracy with some of you guys? Get real.
This was not a product aimed at you "Xtreme" types and was not intended to be overclocking memory.
If you need 2gb sticks, this will work for you, if not get some of our D9 Micron product and run 4 x 1gb sticks.
