I'm trying to decide whether to go ahead and try to oc my X2 3800 any further than I can do it on water right now. I'm building a cheapo copper pipe with endcap pot for DICE, but I want to know if it is worth putting it on my setup to try oc or just wait a bit more when I'll be getting a new system. Here are specs and results so far

X2 3800 LDBHE
GEIL DDR533
Asus A8N-E

I can run it up to 2.4ghz on stock volts, using no divider.
To get to 2.6ghz I have to up cpu voltage from 1.35-1.45 and ram is finicky and requires me to set a divider and run it low latencies so it runs around 217.
I can hit a max of 2.78ghz when I pin modded the cpu to reach 1.66V(the board only goes to 1.55) and I again same divider. Now here are temps

Idle/load
2.4ghz 26/35
2.6ghz 30/39
2.7ghz 35/48

I'm wondering if I use DICE cooling it might help me get higher oc? or something else is limiting the board. I have a stock NB cooler and I have no clue the temp, I should be getting my fluke52 in the mail nxt week so I'll have to check that out. any ideas would be great.

I doubt it. I got my AM2 X2 3800+ to 2.9GHz with 1.6V, hit a wall after that. Temps were in the low 50s as well (water cooling).
