Hi guys

I can get this kit of a friend for a cheap price
http://www.matbe.com/articles/lire/16/kit-watercooling-1a-cooling-5z280v1/
would this be better than a Infinity aircooler?

Its for my Asus P5N e sli with E4300 I can either get the 1a-cooling kit and buy a NB block or get a Scythe Infinity with a HR-05 sli.

SystemCooling did a review on the unit a while back. From what I remember, it was one of the better performing of the kits being compared, the results coming close to BioHazard's external waterbox (dual-120mm heatercore, D4, dual-bay res, Panaflo fans).

I'd link the review to you, except SystemCooling went down under, and no longer exists.

So you think this kit would be better than aircooling?

Its for my Asus P5N e sli with E4300 I can either get the 1a-cooling kit and buy a NB block or get a Scythe Infinity with a HR-05 sli. That unit is discontinued, I assume because they offer better cooling solutions.

I used their PowerUnit240 http://www.1a-cooling.de/shop/index_e.htm) with a FX55 and two 6800GTs. It was OK, just OK. $174 - They used to have a USA distributor.
Note that was a 2 x 120 rad with 2 x 32CFM fans. I also replaced the 1/4 inch barbs with 3/8" and used 1/2" Tygon. The pump, an Eheim 1048, is rather small, but silent. Your kit may come with the 1046 which is even smaller. And of course a 1 x 120 rad. Build quality was excellent, so I wouldn't worry about the age of the unit. My overall guess is that the rather high performance aircooling you propose would outperform that unit...significantly. I'd worry about overclocking with it.

The high point of the 1ACooling units is their rads. I still use the 2 x 120 rad and 1048 from the kit, but on a bypass loop with only the pump and rad with 2 x Delta 120x38mm FFB1212EHE (190CFM) fans.

Thx for your help I just bought the cpu block, pump reservior and have the 1/4 inch fittings I left him the rad. What would be a good rad I have a Lian Li PC7 plus case not that much space inside and I have a 8800gts.I live in switzerland so I dont have all the chioce.
here are some links to rads in my country I want the biggest one that will fit my case im not going to do any cutting to the case.

What would be a good rad I have a Lian Li PC7 plus case not that much space inside and I have a 8800gts.There are two general types of radiators...those for silent cooling. These have wider fin spacing, so that quieter, lower CFM fans can be used. The other general type are high performance rads. These have tighter fin spacing and require louder, high CFM fans. With the restrictive block(s) and tubing you will be using, the highest performance rad will be a must.
