I have a Gainward 6800 Ultra Golden Sample, and I am trying to adjust the clock speeds. I am having trouble.
The nVidia Driver, nTune, and Expertool (Gainward's OC Utility) all seem unable to adjust the clock speed. With the driver and nTune, the settings simply aren't available. If they are available in Expertool, I don't know how to find them.
As for Rivatuner, the maximum speed it will allow me to set is 350 mHz Core and 900 mHz on the memory, where the factory settings on the card are 450/1200.
Also, ATITool will not run. It gets closed by XP as soon as I start it.
Am I missing something? Do I have to set something in BIOS? Does it have to do with AGP, or my Via chipset?
This is my first GPU overclock, and it's not going too well.

You could always try using coolbits (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=815) or the latest version of rivatuner (http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163)?
When I was using nTunes, I had to change back to the classic control panel (get it here (http://www.fpsbanana.com/tools/1064)) and there allow overclocking to be able to change the gpu clock settings in nTunes. I haven't figured out how to get nTunes to use full fan speed at start up. That's why I chose to use rivatuner. I hope something will help.
Have a nice day!

Had to get a specific ForceWare Coolbits, and the overclock settings weren't where they should have been, but instead it was just a special menu under the classic control panel. I've had trouble with the new control panel not saving settings.

Also, nVClock in Linux works spectacularly. Supercharged Beryl!
