2gb showing just 1 with Gbyte DS3

Hi.
Ive got some big issues with a Gigabyte DS3/OCZ Gold DDR2 PC5400 2048MB combo.
The readings in bios and windows shows only 1024mb. CPU-Z however shows 2048. Latest bios installed.
Anyone seen this phenomen...?
