iirc, mj12 uses your bandwidth to assist search engines and maps.. I used to help out when I had a bigger line but it seemed like something happened within mj12 itself that I wasnt getting anything near what I used to.. I am thinking of running it again once I finally get all my comps setup..

I'd like to see these tweaks Dave.. Maybe some ss's of your different tabs within mj12..

Lookin' good Movieman... Someone fill me in a bit on MJ12, I read on the site what it's about and it seems like a good idea. Is the primary deciding factor of your productivity based solely on your net connection?

If so I might be interested. I've currently got a 30/2.5 connection @ home which could use a workout. Would it be of any help?

Yes. Majestic enjoys a good line. Also enjoys a good setup. With all your system resources you are always trying to find sweet spot between MAXing out the line, and archiving Q. With a good CPU machine, you can take down a good line nicely. But most people reckon that 2 machines do the job to perfection on a good line.

When it comes to the cpu, we are talking about the archiving process, that's the "only" time when it pulls from it.

I'm running a xp 2600 + with no trouble at all.

I have a 15mbit/2mbit line. Yours with that PC will be a killer.
Install it on 2 PC's like I do and you will sheet twinkies at what it will do!:D

Rgr that! I'll get her installed and running on both of my boxes tonight. The backup box is a 2.4ghz P4 dell with 1.5gigs of generic ram on Server 2k3. My main box is running Vista Biz, is that ok?
