..I've noted current temps to compare with the Fuzion. I should have some comparisons tomorrow evening or the next day.

E6600: Speed, vCore, Idle°c, Load°c

Stock, 1.3250v, 33°, 42°
3.59Ghz, 1.350v, 39°, 59°
3.69GHz, 1.3875v, 44°, 65°+
3.80GHz, 1.4875/1.5v, 48°, 70°+

Note the high load temps with a single GTX120, ambient 21°c. I'm quite happy with the 3.59GHz temps expecially having room for only a single rad. Thermal paste is OCZ Ultra5+.

my temps are about the same

3,6GHZ 1.38/1.39v
42+idle, 60+load

and im on a single GTS120.1/FuZion

interesting to see your temps on a stronger GTX

...FrozenCPU to specifically order two 120mm JMC pwm (pulse width modulation) fans for my rad. I ended up browsing and ordering a window kit, uv window molding an uv coolant dye. I totally forgot my fans!! I guess I'll place another order tonight or call in the morning to see if they can add the fans. I'm not really sure how strong my GTX is as I have nothing to compare it to. I've been debating on a PA120.1. Do you guys think it's worth getting the thermochill?

I like my dtek

Maybe a radbox and a 120.2 on the back? That would help temps a ton. If you cant do that, then the PA 120.1 is about as good as its going to get.

My D-tek pwns.

Anyhow i remember there was a thread on accelerators, the guys at dtek were making for the fusion. Anyone know what happened to those?

I didn't bother and just decided to go with the Fuzion. I've read where the stock nozzle tested with lower temps and another test with the smaller #4 nozzle to increase turbulence had lower temps.

I've let the paste settle for about a day. These are the results with the Fuzion:

Stock; 25°, 35°
3.59GHz; 28°, 42°
3.7GHz; 34°, 54°
3.8GHz; 45, 60°

Very nice, but in the future if you wanted to, you could put the pump on top of that metal plateau under the rad, take out the res and only use a T-line, and put a 120.2 rad flat at the bottom

it looks very nice though

I thought about putting rad on bottom buy my case barely fit's under my desk right now.

are you guys using a backplate for the D-tek fuzion...if so what did you buy

I hear you can warp the mobo tightening it down???

I have a perfectly good storm rev2 but I am so tempted to get this to cool my e6600

thanks serialk11r!! I'll be working on 3.9 and 4.0 now that I have a little room on temp.

....,the springs are twice the thickness and tension than the TDX springs. I have no experience with the Storm but I would still suggest the Fuzion, it helped me a lot. It's design with all of the little pins creates a lot of little bubbles and takes longer to bleed than my TDX but it was well worth it.

no by bottom i meant flat on the bottom inside of the case right under the GPU

......and raise the case with taller feet so that the rad can breath?

at 3.9ghz u will see temps in the 80's on coretemp. These chips run unbelievably hot. I dunno how peeps can get temps in the 60's on 4ghz with water.

I'm running a backplate with the Fuzion. I bought the Thermalright one from Perf PC's, I had to drill the holes out to get the Fuzion studs to fit though. With my X6800 at 3.8ghz, 1.44v, it idles at 35C.

Nope, just a cordless drill and a 9/64ths drill bit.

The more I read about the Fuzion. The more I think about getting one. it looks like it may be better than the rev. 2 Storm.

I'll be getting a Fusion as soon as I finish my passive radiator. Fusion owns :)

What kind of passive radiator are you making? I had a number of designs on the table. Never got around to doing any of them though. My Favorite involved a tallis length of steel stove pipe with a coil of copper tube wrapped around it.

Wow...double rad makes a huge diff.

I ran my E6700 at 1.41 / 3.5GHz and temps were about 41c, 45 load with ambient of 22c, on a GTX240. At 3.3GHz they run about 32 idle and 35, maybe 36c load. On the PA120.3 they are even lower.

Will the backplate for a Thermalright XP-120 work on a fuzion? or how did you make your own? Pics?

I am using the thermaltake back plate w/o any problems and pretty tight.

I'll probably make a thread for it later when I'm ready to pull it together, but to get an idea: it's a massive 8x18" UHWM panel (delrin-like, two of them) with CNC machined channels, a copper sheet on top and aluminum heatsinks on top of the copper with thermal compound as the interface. The two panels are to be mounted on one of the sides of a tower.
