Hello I have a question about the OCZ GameXstream series. I wanted to know if the cooling fan is solvered or has a 2-Pin connector?

Hello, they look to be soldered to the PC board. Opening your PSU will void your warranty of course. Is there a problem with it or did you just want to change it?

hm thats not so good. I don't have any problems with it, but the power supply is a little bit loud for me :( just @load :(

Are you saying it's too loud under load? Or that it's too loud at idle?

Trying to install a quieter fan would be a problem. The reason the fan gets louder under load is so that the PSU stays cool enough to maintain efficiency (heat is bad for this) and so that it won't heat to the point of becoming damaged. Slowing down the air flow will more than likey cause problems or damage. You are pushing your system pretty hard.

Are you folding or running a task in the background?

yes, Prim95, for testing the CPU. :)

if prime not running, the system/psu is quiet.

But I think that the US and Europe Versions are different?? Because in US Reviews I read, that the psu is very quiet. (in the most reviews from your homepage) But in German Reviews, they are writing, that the psu is very load.

I have never used the EU version, so I can't say. Maybe in Germany they compute very hard and heat up the PSU? It is possible that th e220c operation causes higher tempertaures I suppose.

Sorry, there is no way to make the PSU completely silent.
